ESG-Environment: Solar Power Generation System Installation — A Key Step Toward an Environmentally Friendly Business
Sumisho Global Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is committed to conducting its business in line with the ESG principles, Environment, Social, and Governance to continuously create shared value for the company, local communities, and the surrounding environment.
The company places great importance on the efficient and environmentally friendly use of energy, under a clear and practical environmental policy that can be effectively implemented.
In 2024, the company initiated a consideration and implementation of a project to install a solar power generation system on the roof of warehouse the newly established Wang Noi Branch.
Subsequently, in 2025, the company expanded the project by installing additional solar power generation systems at three more locations as follows:
- Wang Noi Branch, warehouse no.2
- Navanakorn Branch and
- Laem Chabang Branch
This project represents another important milestone in putting the company’s ESG environmental policy into action. It aims to promote the use of renewable energy, reduce dependency on fossil fuels, and decrease carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from warehouse operations. It also aligns with the company’s long-term goal to minimize environmental impact and enhance energy efficiency in a sustainable manner.
Beyond its environmental benefits, the project also helps reduce long-term energy costs and reinforces the company’s image as a socially and environmentally responsible organization, in line with the Sumitomo Group’s commitment to sustainable development.
